Tanning
Services
TIP 1: Get all your other beauty treatments done at least 1 day before you get a sunless tan. Manicures, pedicures, waxing and certain types of hair treatments (color, perms, hair straightening treatments, etc.) can remove a sunless tan and should be done before you spray tan or self-tan.
TIP 2: Exfoliating is super important before spray tanning or self-tanning. The color you see after a spray tan is only on the outer layer of the epidermis. The tan will develop more evenly and last longer if all the dead skin cells are removed prior to your sunless treatment.
TIP 3: Shower, shave and exfoliate at least 3 hours before you spray tan or self-tan. Do not use lotions, depilatories, oil-based exfoliating scrubs or moisturizing shave creams. Use a bar soap that doesn’t leave a film on the skin. --- After you have exfoliated and shaved your pores are open and you have scrubbed off the naturally occurring Amino Acids that are necessary to get a perfect tan. By waiting you give your pores time to close and your skin to build up those necessary Amino Acids.
INSIDER TIP: Self-tanners should apply a little lotion on the dryer areas (elbows, knees, ankles, feet) directly after showering.
Tip 4: After you have spray tanned or self-tanned wear loose clothing. Depending on the type of product used or spray tan received, it will take 8 to 12 hours for the tan to fully develop. During that time tight clothing can leave marks in your tan.
TIP 5: Avoid contact with moisture during development. No sweating or getting wet while the sunless tan is developing or you will end up with a streaky looking tan. Do not use lotions or other products that can damage your tan until after your first shower.
Tip 6: Whether you spray tan or self-tan hydration is the key to keeping your tan lasting. Drink plenty of water but also make sure to use a moisturizer daily. BEWARE not all lotions are good for a sunless tans. Oil-based lotions or lotions that contain petroleum and/or mineral oils will prematurely remove at sunless tan.
TIP 7: If you plan to go into the sun make sure to use plenty of spray application sunscreen. Do not use lotion sunscreen as it will remove the tan before your very eyes.

Do Eyelash Extensions Damage Your Eyelashes? No! Emphatically no! Damage can only be done when installed improperly by an untrained and inexperienced individual or if one was to remove the eyelash extensions at home. Lash extensions are even safe for those who wear contacts. The process is meticulous and of the highest quality without compromising the health of your eyelashes, skin or eyes. Your natural eyelash goes through three growing phases: growing, resting, and shedding. Your new eyelash extensions will go through these same phases right alongside the natural lash it is attached to! The lash adhesive is medical grade, formulated by top physicians. It is FDA approved and has flexing ability once it has fully dried. This flexibility allows everything to move as one natural eye lash. Eyelash extensions attach to the natural eyelash comfortably and cause absolutely no damage!

What is waxing? It's the removal of unwanted facial and body hair by the root. Warm wax, the consistency of honey, is applied over the hair to be removed. A cotton strip is pressed over the wax, and then the strip, wax and hair are removed together in a quick pull.
-
How long does it last?Hair typically grows back several weeks after your treatment. For best results waxing should be repeated every 4-8 weeks, although once a year before your warm-weather vacation is fine, too!
-
How long does my hair need to be?1/4''-1/2'' long. If too short, hair won't come out. If too long, hair will break and the service will be less comfortable. I suggest shaving three weeks before your appointment
-
Will my hair grow back thicker? No, but after removing hair lightened by the sun darker re-growth may appear thicker. Often hair grows in sparser after regular treatments and since waxing removes hair by the root, a soft new hair with a fine tip grows in, eliminating razor stubble.
-
What about ingrown hairs? Some people experience some, since as a new hair grows in it may become trapped under the surface of the skin causing slight irritation. Exfoliating regularly helps.
-
Is waxing okay for everybody? It's fine for most everyone, but isn't appropriate for those on certain medications such as Retinoids and Accutane, or for people with diabetes or particular skin conditions.

-
If I shave, how long do I have to wait for my first wax?If you shave, I ask that you wait a minimum of 14 days to two weeks before you wax. If you typically shave, a few treatments may be required to see the full beneficial effects of waxing.
-
How long will the results last? After your first wax, the results can last 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the individual’s hair re-growth. With regular waxing, the length of time required between treatments will increase significantly.
-
What can I do between waxing services for maintenance?I ask that you do nothing between waxing appointments, especially shave. If there are stray hairs that you wish to remove, tweezing is your best option but I suggest you schedule your next appointment. Waxing can be safely performed every two to three weeks. Over time, this will not be necessary as your hair becomes finer and more sparse but will give you the best results in the beginning.
-
Will the hair grow back thicker in waxed areas? No, usually, re-growth will be finer, thinner and slower in areas that are waxed on a regular basis.
-
How long does waxing take?Depending on the body part and the density of the hair growth, most waxing appointments will take between 15 to 90 minutes. First appointments typically take a little longer as there may be more tweezing to achieve the cleanest results. For a Brazilian please allow 90 minutes for your first visit. Thorough results are my goal, not speed. Your satisfaction is important to me.

What exactly is a Brazilian?A Male Brazilian wax is removal of pubic hair. This includes the area across your body over your penis, your shaft, scrotum, perineum and between your buttocks. We can discuss your options if you prefer to leave some hair. Some men choose to leave a bit on the body over their shaft. This may include a "happy trail" or an inverted triangle. At the time of your appointment, we can discuss options that will achieve the look you prefer.
-
What can I expect during a Brazilian wax?For those with a penis, during your Brazilian wax I will walk you through what I am doing each step of the way to ensure you are as comfortable as possible with what is happening. Essentially though, I will cleanse the skin with a mild astringent, put a small amount of oil on the skin and go about removing the hair. Hair removal will be done with a combination of hard and soft waxes to achieve the best results while minimizing discomfort. It may help to know that most men tell me it is not as painful as they anticipated it would be, they are very pleased with the results and continue with regular maintenance. Again, pain tolerance is very individual but most tolerate it well and tell me that contrary to expectations, the area that is most painful is across the front of the body.
-
What if I get an erection during male Brazilian waxing? This is a common body response and we will be respectful of each other. Please remember, I do this almost every day. This should not be a concern or a source of anxiety for you.
-
Is waxing for me?Male Waxing is appropriate for almost everyone. However, some physicians do not recommend it for people suffering from diabetes or who have varicose veins or poor circulation as they are more susceptible to infection. Waxing should not be performed over moles or wounds and waxing should NEVER be performed on a client who is using Retin-A, Accutane, Renova, Differin or any other acne medication that thins the skin. It is the responsibility of the client to discuss any concerns, conditions or medications that may be contra-indicated for waxing with their physician prior to getting waxed. Also, please advise me if you are allergic to any foods – because if you can’t eat it, you shouldn’t put the extracts on your skin. Please be completely honest about all allergies and medications you are taking – it is for your protection.
